To put it bluntly Oxford hates the car, even if you are travelling for a romantic break this is something to bear in mind if you are planning on driving here.  These two hotels offer free parking, good transport links into Oxford and are on the more affordable side of hotels around Oxford but without compromising on a nice place to stay.  The Holiday Inn even has a swimming pool!
